Eskadron Heritage didn't feature on the 2022 collection roster and many of us were disappointed. I was right at the front of the disappointment queue!
Launched in 2016, Heritage was the Autumn Winter showstopper. It's the perfect combination of old English charm combining sophisticated traditionalism with simple designs and stand-out fabrics to create a collection that topped every equestrian's Christmas list.
So, you'll imagine, I was pretty delighted when I was invited to view the 2023 Heritage collection during the hottest summer on record.
The collection blew me away - shades of pastel pink, berry cassis with classic navy and grey. The details were fabulous, rose gold, sparkles, foil logos and mesh spines.
Eskadron had really taken the year out of Heritage to bring their A game to 2023.
Heritage reinvents some of the classics - the icon Big Square sadddlepad thats become the best known Eskadron saddlepad style has an updated matt gloss fabric and super stylish quilting with a sprinkling of rhinestones to create the heritage logo. Satin comes in two variants this season, the high gloss version with the script Eskadron logo we've seen pulled through in other collections and a brand new glossy saddlepad with the heritage logo overlayed in a gorgeous foil print - the navy version of this design is so luxurious and really has a 1920's art deco vibe.
The boot fans will have noticed that the faux fur mesh style had been dropped for Platinum 2023, but it's back for Heritage. You can choose between a glamslate full faux fur boot, or a mesh boot with the faux fur edging and pair them with a faux fur topped over reach boot. All the boots come in the same colours as the Eskadron saddlepads to create the perfect matchy outfit.
Not to forget the mini ponies who love a bit of matchy, Eskadron have scaled down some of the popular designs from this collection to 'shetty size' aimed at small ponies - and it's the cutest thing I've ever seen - I can't wait to see tiny ponies dressed in Eskadron saddlepads with matching boots and fly veils.
